The Writing Project - PRESALE
The Writing Project for OTs - Presale
Are you getting more and more referrals for children that find handwriting challenging? Do you often question or get questioned about how relevant handwriting is in this digital era? Are you unsure of what you are seeing when you assess children with handwriting difficulties? Then once you know what is going on, how do you help them? What about all the available digital tools? What are they? How do they work? And when should I use them?
If these questions sound familiar to you, then this 8-module self-paced online course is just what you need. Throughout the eight modules you will learn about:
- The writing process and how writing skills develop
- The development of handwriting skills
- How to assess children presenting with difficulties with handwriting
- Explore intervention strategies to support the development and refinement of handwriting skills
- The use of digital tools to support the writing process
- Understanding when handwriting challenges are due to dysgraphia (or the specific learning disorder in written expression).
Each module contains 8-12 short lessons, allowing you to complete at times that are convenient for you. There will be handouts, checklists, quizzes and resources to help you get underway. You will also have the opportunity to join the monthly online group calls where you have the opportunity to ask our principal therapist, Rebecca Spokes, any questions you might have.
On completion of the course, you will also receive a certificate of completion acknowledge your hard work and demonstrating 15 hours of professional development to support your registration.
Valued at $997.
